It was a pleasure learning from her. She was cheerful, patient yet firm. I not only learnt the language but also about Turkish culture from her and she was kind and generous enough to go around Istanbul with me (at no charge) and treat me to absolutely delicious food. :)

When we first arrived in Istanbul it was impossible for us to even go grocery shopping. Everything was in Turkish which made it very hard to get around. When we heard about
Gaye, we immediately called her up and started our class in Turkish. She is a very patient
and understanding teacher, she used many different methods to teach us including games and flashcards. It was not just a class, it was also good time I spent with my family. We all looked forward to our weekend to learn. Over the week we would gather all the questions
we had to ask. She not only just taught us, if we were ever stuck somewhere we could
always call her up for help.

I really enjoyed my time learning Turkish, it wouldn't have been fun if Gaye was not our teacher. We learned a good level of Turkish, which eventually made it a lot easier to understand people and make them understand what we want.

I highly reccomend Gaye for any beginner to learn Turkish.

Every now and then our family always says something in Turkish even though it been 3
years we left :)

I had taken a few Turkish lessons from different teachers before Gaye, and was feeling
very frustrated. From the moment I entered her class all of the frustration left, and with her
help I learned the basics and fundamentals of Turkish. After almost two years of lessons,
I felt comfortable expressing myself in turkish and was happy to see my grasp of the
language go beyond just basic communication. Gaye's lessons offered a wonderful gateway into the Turkish community, and has been the key to my happy and successfull life in
Turkey these past six years.
